Donald J. Roy, Jr., CPA, Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer
Donald Roy manages the supporting services of finance, administration, human resources and IT functions. Mr. Roy is also the staff liaison with the Board of Trustees’ Audit and Finance Committees. He has 29 years of public accounting experience with 20 of those years being a part of the American Kidney Fund team. He worked nine years with a Rockville, Maryland, CPA firm specializing in audits of nonprofit clients.
In addition to completing independent audits of nonprofits, he assisted nonprofit management with internal control development and improvements, regulatory compliance, financial guidance, and other business services to improve operations.
In 2011, Mr. Roy was honored by the Washington Business Journal as the nonprofit CEO of the Year. He is a member of American Institute of CPAs, and a former member of the Frostburg State University's College of Business Advisory Board and the National Health Council’s Chief Financial Officers Group, where current topics affecting the nonprofit community were discussed. Mr. Roy graduated summa cum laude from Frostburg State University with a bachelor of science in accounting and minors in economics and business administration.
