Holly Bode, Vice President of Government Affairs
Holly Bode has been working on health issues in Washington—on both the political and policy fronts— for over 30 years. She comes to the American Kidney Fund from the Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) where she led the federal lobbying and communications efforts for nearly five years. Prior to ACHP, she worked at Washington Council Ernst & Young, where she provided strategic political and policy counsel to a variety of health care and employer clients, with a focus on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Prior to her tenure with Washington Council, Ms. Bode spent four years at UnitedHealth Group where she coordinated the federal affairs strategy for United’s Medicare and Medicaid products. She also worked for various members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives for over nine years as well as five years at the Department of Health and Human Services under Secretary Donna Shalala.
