Frank D. Pelliccione
Frank Pelliccione is a member of the American Kidney Fund (AKF) Board of Trustees, serving on the Finance and Public Support Committees.
Mr. Pelliccione is vice president of business development at Flushing Savings Bank. In this role, he works with the bank's government business unit and represents Flushing Savings Bank at meetings with New York State assemblymen, senators and local community leaders. Throughout his professional career, Mr. Pelliccione has been extremely active with nonprofit organizations in order to enhance life in the community.
Mr. Pelliccione completed a 15-year term as a member of the AKF Board of Trustees in 2007. Over this period, he served as Treasurer and played pivotal roles on both the Finance and Public Support Committees. He was also instrumental in the reopening of the organization’s Northeast Regional Office. Since this office reopened in 2006, he has worked tirelessly towards its expansion—among other things, he has been the driving force behind the success of the New York Golf Classic which has raised more than $400,000 for AKF.
In addition to his work with AKF, Mr. Pelliccione has been recognized for his civic and philanthropic work from organizations such as the Boy Scouts of Nassau County, Brentwood Soccer League, Freeport Chamber of Commerce, March of Dimes, Operation Get Ahead and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. He was recently honored by the School-Business Partnerships of Long Island as one of the 60 people over 60 years old who have made positive, tangible contributions that have enhanced life on Long Island. Mr. Pelliccione is also extremely proud to have helped build the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Suffolk County. He sums up his volunteer activities in the following way: “Life has been good to me, and I want to give back to others and help people…to really make a difference in their lives!”
Family is also very important to Mr. Pelliccione. He and his wife Lucile have six children and are the proud grandparents of 10.
