Donald J. Roy serves as Managing Director of Finance and Operations for the American Kidney Fund. Mr. Roy manages the supporting services of finance, administration, human resources and IT functions. Mr. Roy is also the staff liaison with the Board of Trustees’ Audit and Finance Committees. He has 19 years of public accounting experience with 10 of those years being a part of the American Kidney Fund team. He worked nine years with a Rockville, MD CPA firm specializing in audits of non-profit clients.
In addition to completing independent audits of non-profits, he assisted non-profit management with internal control development and improvements, regulatory compliance, financial guidance, and other business services to improve operations.
He is a member of American Institute of CPAs, Maryland Association of CPAs and participates in the National Health Council’s Chief Financial Officers Group, where current topics affecting the non-profit community are discussed. Mr. Roy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Frostburg State University with a BS degree in Accounting and minors in Economics and Business Administration. |
