James B. Riley, Jr., Esq., is a member of the American Kidney Fund’s (AKF) National Board of Trustees. He currently serves as a on the Board Development, Finance and Public Policy Committees.
Mr. Riley is a partner in the law firm of McGuireWoods LLP, as well as co-chairman of the firm's Health Care Department, which is ranked by the American Health Lawyers Association as the fifth largest in the country. His practice encompasses general corporate and health care law. Mr. Riley represents a wide range of clients, including hospitals and health systems; ambulatory care providers including dialysis facilities and ambulatory surgery centers; multi-specialty and single specialty medical practices; and suppliers to the industry including pharmaceutical companies and medical supply companies. He also counsels health care providers and companies to the health care industry on health care regulatory issues including third party reimbursement consultation and proceedings, fraud and abuse counseling, medical staff issues, managed care issues, and matters related to the Medicare ESRD program.
Mr. Riley is an active in community and professional activities, including being a president and member of the Board of Directors of Rebuilding Together - North Suburban Chicago, a member of the Board of Directors of DCI Donor Services, and a member of the editorial advisory boards of Nephrology News & Issues and Hematology Oncology News & Issues. Mr. Riley has been a speaker at programs sponsored by the American Health Lawyers Association, the Health Care Financial Management Association, the National Renal Administrators Association, the Renal Physicians Association and various state regional associations. |
