Sharon Pahlka has lived with kidney disease for over 30 years—19 on dialysis and the last 18 with a transplant. As a Certified Life Coach, she specializes in coaching people with chronic health challenges to fulfill their dreams (go to www.lifeisagift.com). Ms. Pahlka also helps caregivers maximize their effectiveness, facilitates pre-dialysis education classes, speaks nationally, and writes for various publications.

Ms. Pahlka a member of the American Kidney Fund (AKF) Board of Trustees and serves on the Kidney Disease Prevention, Education & Outreach Committee. She enjoys adventure and travel, and is crazy about her grandchildren.
