Sharon Pahlka has lived with kidney disease for over 30 years—19 on dialysis and the last 15 with a transplant. As a Certified Life Coach, she specializes in coaching people with chronic health challenges to fulfill their dreams (go to www.lifeisagift.com). Sharon also helps caregivers maximize their effectiveness, facilitates pre-dialysis education classes, speaks nationally, and writes for various publications. Sharon serves on the American Kidney Fund’s Board of Trustees and member of the Kidney Disease Prevention & Outreach Committee.  She enjoys adventure and travel, and is crazy about her grandsons.
