Tamara Ruggiero is the American Kidney Fund's Vice President of Communications and Marketing. Ms. Ruggiero manages all of the organization's internal and external communications efforts, including media relations, public outreach campaigns, website, marketing and advertising. She has been with the American Kidney Fund since January 2005.
She began her communications career as a reporter and editor for a daily newspaper in Maryland. Prior to joining the AKF team, Ms. Ruggiero handled communications functions for several organizations, including a hospital system and a national nonprofit human resources organization.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston University and a master’s degree in education from Mount St. Mary’s University.
