Vinod K. Bansal, MD FACP FASN, is Professor of Medicine, Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and Director of Hemodialysis, Loyola University Medical Center, both located in Maywood, Illinois near Chicago.
Dr. Bansal has been active in the national nephrology community by serving on the Medical Advisory Board of the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois and was the recipient of the Outstanding Service Award from the National Kidney Foundation Council on Renal Nutrition in 1994. Internationally, he has lectured widely on topics of hypertension and kidney disease. In 1993, he served in India as a William Fulbright International Scholar. He has published extensively on a wide range of topics in kidney disease. Dr. Bansal has participated in many clinical trials in an effort to bring better care to the kidney disease population. He is a current Trustee of the American Kidney Fund (AKF) and is currently on the Clinical Scientist in Nephrology and Kidney Disease Prevention & Outreach Committees as well as the Medical Advisory Committee.
