Find a disaster recovery center near you

A Disaster Recovery Center is a readily accessible facility or mobile office where survivors may go for information about our programs or other disaster assistance programs, and to ask questions related to your case. Representatives from the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), volunteer groups and other agencies are at the centers to answer questions about disaster assistance and low-interest disaster loans for homeowners, renters and businesses. Let people know you are safe—and search for loved ones

The American Red Cross Safe and Well website is a free tool that allows people and organizations to register and post messages to indicate that they are safe, or to search for loved ones. The site is always available, open to the public, and available in English and Spanish. There are a number of ways to use this service:

Registrations and searches can be done directly on the website.

Registrations can also be completed by texting SAFE to 78876. Messages exist in both Spanish and English.
