Discovery Green was the place to be on Sunday, October 16, as the American Kidney Fund hosted its biggest Kidney Action Day ever. More than 500 walkers participated in Steps that Count and many morereceived free kidney health screenings. State Representative Garnet Coleman, along with representatives from the City of Houston’s Health and Human Services Department and the Office of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, joined the American Kidney Fund to help raise awareness of kidney disease in the City of Houston.
