The American Kidney Fund’s Screening Initiatives

The American Kidney Fund works to raise awareness of kidney disease among people who are most at risk and the general public.

MIKE – MIKE stands for the Minority Intervention and Kidney Education program.  This program’s mission is to reduce the high rate of kidney failure in minority communities.  The American Kidney Fund’s MIKE program partners with public and private organizations, including government agencies, community and faith based organizations to provide education, screenings and follow-up services for people who are most at risk for kidney disease.

Outreach Initiatives  - The American Kidney Fund  works with local community partners in various settings ( workplace, faith-based, civic groups, business, salons etc.) to raise awareness of kidney disease and risk factors through educational workshops and screening activities initiatives.

American Kidney Fund Screenings - The American Kidney Fund works with partners nationwide to provide free educational materials and kidney health screenings in selected city venues. See our screening schedule to see if we are coming to a city near you.
