Each year, in cities around the country, thousands of people whose lives have been touched by kidney disease walk to raise money for the American Kidney Fund’s programs and services to help kidney patients and raise awareness of kidney disease. The Kidney Action Day Walk is a fun, effective way to join in the fight against kidney disease.
This year’s Kidney Action Day Walks will take place in Washington, D.C. Metro (June 22), San Antonio (October - Date TBD) and Houston (November 17).
Walk alone, Pair Up with another walker, join a team, recruit a team . . . or simply contribute to the cause. Every step we take increases awareness of this silent disease that affects 31 million Americans. Every dollar we raise helps patients in need and protects millions at risk.
The Kidney Action Day Walk is part of Kidney Action Day, the American Kidney Fund’s signature outreach event, which features healthy cooking demonstrations and food samplings that will inspire you with tasty new recipes; fun exercise routines to keep you motivated and active; free health screenings and education to give you the knowledge you need to fight kidney disease; and entertainment and fun activities for the whole family!
