Meet Audrey Adamson, a patient-advocate with the American Kidney Fund, who in March joined us for our annual Kidney Action Day on Capitol Hill. Audrey is one of many inspirational advocates in the American Kidney Fund's Advocacy Network who is raising awareness for kidney disease research and prevention.
The recently introduced Chronic Kidney Disease Improvement in Research and Treatment Act of 2014 (H.R. 4814) is bi-partisan legislation that focuses on kidney disease research, access to treatment and fiscal challenges facing the Medicare program that funds treatment for more than 80 percent of U.S. dialysis patients. Please join us in supporting the Chronic Kidney Disease Improvement in Research and Treatment Act of 2014.
You can take action today by sending a letter to your member of Congress asking him or her to support this important piece of legislation for the kidney patients.
