Kidney Action Day is all about you and your health! Free health screenings, fitness activities, healthy cooking demos and food samples, prizes, giveaways, and more make Kidney Action Day an event you won’t want to miss. Bring your friends and bring your family—there's something for everyone at this event.
Free health screenings
Free health screenings can tell you if you are at risk for kidney disease. Health education and community resources will also be available.

Walk with Us!
During Kidney Action Day, the American Kidney Fund will hold its DC KIDNEYNATION Walk featuring Honorary Chair Dr. Keith Melancon. Dr. Melancon is being honored for his tireless work in the community to educate about kidney disease and increase access to transplantation for minority patients and everyone difficult to transplant. Registration is at 11:00 a.m. and the Walk begins at 12:00 p.m. The walk is a one mile loop around the Yards Park (355 Water Street SE, Washington DC 20003) and surrounding neighborhood.
