Mark Meier is the founder of Equalicare, LLC, a Minneapolis-based consulting firm focused on health and wellness. In the dialysis field he has worked as a social worker, patient care technician, and facility administrator. Mark led the first national data collection effort investigating involuntary patient discharge and helped develop online training for the American Nephrology Nurses’ Association (ANNA) regarding depression in the dialysis setting.

Wendy Funk Schrag, LMSW, ACSW Fresenius Medical Care North America

Wendy Funk-Schrag is Director of Advocacy and State Government Affairs for Fresenius Medical Care North America, Newton, KS. She was a dialysis social worker for 16 years. Mrs. Schrag serves on the Executive Board of the Heartland Kidney Network and is a member of the Life Options Rehabilitation Program Advisory Council.

Robert Saylor, MD, MA St. John’s Health System

Robert Saylor began his role as the Director of Ethics in September 2007 at St. John’s Health System in Springfield, Missouri. Dr. Saylor received his master’s degree in bioethics from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Center for the Study of Bioethics in Milwaukee. Prior to joining St. John’s, Dr. Saylor practiced as a nephrologist. He has been a board member of the Mid-America Transplant Services since 1992 and currently serves as their medical liaison. He has been involved in the Missouri Kidney Program as chair of the advisory board. Dr. Saylor has been active with the Heartland Kidney Network (Network 12) for the last 15 years and is past chair of the advisory board.
