Matthew Poffenroth

Matt Poffenroth, MD, MBA, is board-certified in internal medicine, Vice President with Inova Health System and serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer for Signature Partners Network, the clinically integrated network associated with Inova Health System. In this role, he leads the clinical integration and quality improvement efforts amongst more than 2000 physicians, 11 hospitals and two health systems. Prior to joining Signature Partners, Dr. Poffenroth was a member of Johns Hopkins Community Physicians where he served as Director of Clinical Integration and Chief of Medical Specialties for 5 years. He also helped launch and was medical director of the Johns Hopkins Medicine Alliance for Patients, a Medicare Shared Savings Program Accountable Care Organization. Previously, he was President of a 60-physician, health system-employed multispecialty group and also founder and President of a 50-physician hospitalist group. Dr. Poffenroth received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1994 and his MBA from the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business in 2006.
