Our signature outreach event, Kidney Action Day is held in cities where rates of kidney disease are higher than the national average. Kidney Action Day is a free, family-friendly event with a serious purpose: helping people understand their risk for kidney disease and how to prevent it. The day includes free health screenings, cooking demonstrations and samplings, fitness demonstrations, and fun-filled activities. To empower people to prevent kidney disease, we offer free screenings and follow-up services (including medical referrals and public education materials). These services are provided at a variety of venues in cities around the country including churches, expositions and festivals, hospitals, community centers, colleges and corporate offices.
