American Kidney Fund Joins Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® for Champion Impact Moment
AKF will offer educational resources during a large-scale community initiative at the Georgia International Convention Center
ROCKVILLE, MD (Aug. 28, 2026) — The American Kidney Fund will join Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® and a coalition of community partners for Champion Impact Moment, a large-scale service initiative designed to connect more than 3,500 individuals and families with essential resources, information and support.
The event, scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Georgia International Convention Center, 2000 Convention Center Concourse, College Park, Georgia, will bring together more than 1,000 Alpha Kappa Alpha members and partner organizations to serve communities across metro Atlanta and the surrounding area.
As a participating partner, the American Kidney Fund will host a community activation offering free resources on kidney disease prevention, treatment options, clinical trials, and healthy eating. Attendees can learn about available support services and access educational resources that encourage participants to prioritize their kidney health.

At Champion Impact Moment, individuals and families will have the opportunity to connect directly with participating organizations, learn about available programs and services, and access information, support, and referrals in one convenient location at the Georgia International Convention Center.
