American Kidney Fund Statement on Robb Elementary School Shooting
May 26, 2022
We are devastated by the events in Texas this week. The horrific shooting at Robb Elementary School was the 212th mass shooting in the United States in 2022. We must never allow ourselves to become numb to these killings, which have left so many families in mourning. Instead, our nation's leaders must take concrete action immediately to address gun violence.
Every child deserves to live their healthiest possible life, but right now, our children are living in fear that someday a gunman will come for them. It is time for our nation to put aside politics and find solutions to eradicate gun violence so that we may build truly safe and healthy communities for everyone.
