In response to the spread of the coronavirus, the American Kidney Fund has implemented temporary telework measures to help keep our employees and our community safe. AKF operations are continuing without interruption, though you may experience slightly longer response times. Thank you in advance for your patience during this time.
Ensuring that U.S. kidney patients are able to afford their medical expenses has been the heart of the American Kidney Fund’s mission since our founding nearly 50 years ago. Our need-based programs help patients with health insurance premiums, transportation costs, prescription medications, and many other necessities related to health care. With the support of the generous American public, we’ve helped more than 1.5 million patients since 1971. We provide this assistance as funding becomes available, and we are grateful to the 61,000 individuals, foundations and corporations who support our independent, nonprofit work with charitable donations.
