One of the greatest challenges for kidney patients is changing their daily eating habits. Learning you have to track your intake of several different nutrients can be overwhelming. It can take time to find kidney-friendly alternatives to your favorite foods. Foods you eat can impact blood sugar and blood pressure, and if you are used to fast food or dining out, cooking your own meals may seem intimidating. But it does not have to be.

Dr. Blake Shusterman is a nephrologist on a mission to help you eat healthy while living with kidney disease. During this Facebook Live event, meet Dr. Blake and get your questions answered about:

  • Eating and nutrition if you are new to dialysis, post-transplant, or pre-dialysis
  • Managing your fluid intake
  • Preparing healthy foods at home
  • Resources you can use to maintain a healthy lifestyle
