American Kidney Fund Commends House Ways and Means for Leadership on CKD Issues

ROCKVILLE, Md. (May 21, 2026) —  The American Kidney Fund today commended the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Ways and Means for its leadership on the issue of chronic kidney disease.

Today, the Committee marked up and passed out legislation that would make home dialysis more accessible to Medicare beneficiaries. AKF strongly supports giving patients more choices in how and where they receive their dialysis treatments and to focus on their mental health. We look forward to continuing to work with Chairman Jason Smith and Ranking Member Richie Neal and the members of the Committee on legislation and policies that support the millions of Americans with kidney disease.
