The teen years are a time of self-discovery, disorientation, but most of all, fun! Most teens are already juggling many changes, responsibilities and activities, and kidney disease can feel like a balancing act of its own.

Bayli Park

Bayli is a sophomore at Fredrick Community College who majors in Library Sciences.  She was born with multicystic dysplastic kidney disease. Bayli received her kidney transplant in 2011 at the age of 10.

Ken Sutha Headshot AKF

Ken Sutha, MD, PhD

Dr. Sutha is a pediatric nephrologist at Stanford Children’s Health and serves as a postdoctoral fellow in the Stanford University School of Medicine, where he does kidney research under support from American Society of Nephrology Jared J. Grantham Research Fellowship. He is himself a patient with kidney disease, having had two kidney transplants since being diagnosed with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) at the age of 10.
